Behind the Scenes: AHU Servicing in Action

Keeping indoor air systems running smoothly takes more than routine checks — it means getting hands-on with the equipment that most people never see. In these photos, our technicians are carrying out a full inspection and maintenance session on an Air Handling Unit (AHU), the system responsible for regulating and circulating conditioned air throughout the building.

The yellow fiberglass insulation panels lining the plenum help control heat transfer and reduce energy loss within the unit, while the galvanized duct sections above house the zoned air distribution controls. Our team carefully inspects the gas control box and wiring connections to ensure the burner and ignition components are functioning safely and efficiently.

Further into the unit, technicians examine the blower motor and fan assembly — the heart of the AHU that drives airflow through the ductwork — checking for wear, proper lubrication, and secure mounting. Attention is also given to the belt and pulley system, which needs regular tensioning and alignment checks to prevent premature failure and maintain consistent airflow.

This kind of preventive maintenance is essential: a well-serviced AHU means better air quality, lower energy consumption, and fewer unexpected breakdowns — all things building owners and facility managers count on.
